Breaking Mental Health Barriers in Communities of Color

Join your neighbors, friends, co-workers and organizations for the first of a three-part Health Equity Series hosted by the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health designed to shine a light on the mental health disparities negatively impacting minorities within Western PA and beyond.

In its second year, the 2022 PBGH Health Equity Series begins with the February 24th free, live webinar for the public, “Breaking Mental Health Barriers in Communities of Color.”

The keynote presenter, Dr. Joia Crear-Perry, FACOG, founder and president, National Birth Equity Collaborative, will lead a discussion about, “The State of Black Maternal Health.”

Then, a panel presentation by Dr. Scott Cook, medical director, Recovery Centers of America, Montia D. Brock, owner & founder, Mind Breast & Womb, and Dr. Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, senior vice president, chief clinical diversity officer, Allegheny Health Network/ Highmark, who will share their perspectives about, “Breaking Mental Health Barriers in Communities of Color.”
