Maximizing Healthcare Value: What’s in Your Toolbox?

October 13, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Navigating healthcare spending and maximizing the value of your healthcare dollar can be difficult without the right tools. Join us on Tuesday, October 13th, at 12:00 p.m. ET, for an overview of the evolving value landscape faced by employers, the role and limitations of tools such as value assessment frameworks for navigating this landscape, and how these tools can build a solid foundation for supporting localized value decisions.

  • Karen Moseley, President of Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO), will frame the challenges facing employers today by taking a journey through the evolution of the value framework over the past 10+ years. Current examples, including social determinants of health, parental leave, unpaid caregiver benefits, and mental health, will tee up the discussion.
  • Kimberly Westrich, Vice President, Health Services Research of the National Pharmaceutical Council, will share some of the tools available to help you navigate the landscape of healthcare decision-making, with a particular focus on the role and limitations of value assessment frameworks as useful tools for employers.
  • Jennifer Bright, Executive Director of the non-profit research organization, the Innovation and Value Initiative (IVI), will review the unique methods and tools developed to support localized decision-making about healthcare value. She will also showcase several current initiatives that will add to the decision toolbox and influence the practice and use of value assessment.
