Trends on Diabetes & COVID-19 Impacts
Diabetes patients account for 40% of the deaths from COVID-19. It is important now more than ever to understand the most recent diabetes trends and the impact COVID-19 is having on our most vulnerable patients.
The Role of Biosimilars: Putting Education into Action
Specialty drugs continue to drive the total cost of care for employers. Within the specialty drug category, biologics account for 47% of total drug spend. As employers are challenged to find savings within their health plans many are looking to specialty drugs through the pharmacy and medical plan for opportunities to save. Increasing the use of biosimilars is one lever being considered as they can create savings for employers AND the employees.
