The Importance of Cancer Screenings & What We’ve Learned During COVID-19

March 9, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

COVID-19 has stressed and stretched employers, employees, and families in unimaginable ways, but cancer doesn’t stop, and neither can we. Please join us in kicking of March’s National Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Awareness Month, with an engaging discussion about the need to improve cancer screenings, as we emerge from the pandemic.

Kim Hutton, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Evernorth, and David Hines, Executive Director for Metro Nashville Public Schools to discuss:

  • Overview of colorectal cancer (CRC) incidence, compared to other cancers
  • CRC’s increased disability costs to Employers: short-term disability to long-term disability costs
  • CRC Screening rates during COVID-19 & CRC Screening options
  • Dr. Hutton and David Hines will share their experiences and offer insight how we can improve screening rates against this preventable cancer

We look forward to an interactive discussion, followed by Q&A.
