Webinar: Full Circle Cancer Care for Better Health & Cost Outcomes

Every year, one in two Americans are diagnosed with cancer. Despite the growing risk, people still face major barriers to cancer prevention, diagnosis, and care. The U.S. medical system still prioritizes “sick care” over true “healthcare,” meaning care for the majority of people most often occurs after they are determined to be sick and when that care is more costly and more complex.
As employers, we have the opportunity to do better by our employees and see cancer not as something that only happens after a diagnosis, but rather, as a full journey that goes from health, sickness, and back to health.
Join us as we host Color Health on September 30th at 12pm ET for a discussion on what it means to provide employees with supportive, continuous care throughout their journey–before, during, and after a diagnosis– and how to deliver care that both improves health outcomes while reducing costly cancer care spend.
Our panelists will cover:
● Real patient stories that uncover the logistical, financial, and psychological barriers that create hurdles for comprehensive cancer care at every stage of the journey
● How delays from initial suspicion to diagnosis worsen patient outcomes and increase costs, and share a vision for streamlined processes to reduce these delays
● Strategies to align early detection with effective treatment and support for cancer patients and survivors to reduce costly claims and improve employee outcomes
Speakers:
● Bonny Morris, PhD, MSPH, RN, Vice President, Navigation, American Cancer Society
● Keegan Duchicela, MD, Director, Medical Affairs
● Robin Cole, former Pittsburgh Steelers, 2x Super Bowl Champion and cancer survivor
